Mileage Reimbursement
I received an e-mail at work stating that the mileage reimbursement has gone up to 58.5 cents a mile. My mom used to have to drive around a lot for one of her previous jobs. Back then she had a geo metro so her mileage reimbursement was like a bonus check.
Even though mileage reimbursement doesn’t apply to commuting it’s an easy figure to work with. When I use the reimbursement figure to quantify the value of my bike commute in dollars, it’s a savings of $35 each day.
Wouldn’t it be cool if you could get mileage reimbursement for biking someplace or walking to something for work? All the money would be going to you & not your car.
